Directions
Our property is *almost* at Sweeney Road, along Highway 14 East of Stevenson, Washington. Follow Google's directions to Sweeney Road, and you'll be 99% of the way there.

The last 1% is a little tricky. If you have a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, you can drive all the way up to the campsite. If this is you, follow the "I have 4WD and will drive myself up the steep gravel driveway" section. If you don't have 4 wheel drive, you'll park on Highway 14 near our driveway, and we will come pick you up for the final 1/4 mile of uphill gravel driving. If this is you, follow the "I don't have 4WD and will park on HWY 14" section below.
I have 4WD and will drive myself up the steep gravel driveway
(1) Coming from Portland, you'll be driving East on Highway 14 (first blue arrow). Drive straight past Sweeney Road (short dashed white line). As you do, look left: you'll see a steep gravel driveway. This is the driveway to our camp site! (red line) But don't turn onto it just yet. Because large trucks come through these blind turns at high speed, you're going to come back from the other direction.

(2) A mile after Sweeney Road, there will be a roundabout (second blue arrow). Use the roundabout to do a U turn, coming back on Highway 14 but headed West this time.

(3) This time when you approach our driveway (red line), you'll be turning right (third blue arrow) and not crossing the oncoming traffic. Hooray safety. You'll also have a shoulder that you can pull over onto.

The hardest part of the driveway is the first 30 feet. Make sure your vehicle is in 4WD mode, and go slow. If you feel like your wheels are spinning and you're digging ruts in the gravel, carefully reverse back down to the shoulder on HWY 14 and give us a call.
I don't have 4WD and will park on HWY 14
We're still trying to figure out the safest way to do this, and we may be updating this section soon. For the moment, this is what we're thinking:

Coming from Portland, you'll be driving on HWY 14 East (blue arrow). You'll park immediately after Sweeney Road (magenta ovals). Note that this will just be a temporary stop, as you'll get a parking ticket if you stay there too long

Once you're parked there, give us a call. DON'T CROSS THE STREET TO OUR DRIVEWAY, stay near your car. We'll come down to you, and we'll drive you and your gear the last bit up our driveway (red line).

Once we have enough vehicles parked on the side of HWY 14, we will caravan all the cars back into Stevenson to a lot where cars can stay the whole weekend without getting ticketed.
